Privacy Policy
The short version: your address book never leaves your phone in readable form. Matching happens over anonymous hashes, names are exchanged only for contacts you both already have, and your messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted — we cannot read them.
Who we are
Crosscon is operated by GAIIA PRODUCTIONS LLC-FZ ("we", "us"). Contact: nickbelan96@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
- Display name — the name you enter in your profile, shown to people you connect with. Purpose: app functionality.
- Contacts (hashed) — when you choose to find common connections, identifiers from your address book are one-way hashed on your device and compared with the other person's hashes on our server. Plain names are exchanged only for the contacts both of you already have. Hashes for a connection are automatically deleted from our servers within days.
- Device identifier — a random identifier created on registration, used to deliver connections and messages. It is not your advertising ID.
- Location (transient) — only if you use Shake to Connect: your coordinates are used in real time (seconds) to match you with the person next to you and are not stored.
What we do NOT do
- No advertising, no trackers, no analytics SDKs, no data brokers.
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties.
- No reading of your messages or calls — they are end-to-end encrypted with the Signal protocol.
Sign in with Apple
We use Sign in with Apple for authentication. Your Apple identifier stays on your device; we do not receive your e-mail address.
Data retention and deletion
Connection data (shared-contact hashes and exchanged names) is short-lived and cleaned up automatically. You can delete your profile and all associated server data at any time from Settings → Delete account, or by writing to nickbelan96@gmail.com.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
